The 'x' in Spanish can have three separate sounds:
The first is the most common and it sounds like the 'ks' in the word
'talks' [ejemplo: examinar].
The second sounds like the English letter 'h' and is only used for nouns
and words you can derive from them [ejemplo: México].
The third sounds like the
English 'ch' and it is also only used for certain nouns [ejemplo: Xela].
